Night Guard or Deprogrammer
The appliance/guard/deprogrammer should be cleaned/brushed daily with general denture cleaner. You can also use mild dish soap to clean the appliance. Always bring the appliance with you to any dental appointments for evaluation. We will need to adjust your appliance if you have any dental treatment performed after the appliance is placed. The appliance should be worn at night if it's used as a Night Guard, and 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week, or as much as possible, if the appliance is a Deprogrammer. A Deprogrammer SHOULD not be used for extended periods of time (over 1 month) unless Dr. Lobato as indicated to do so. This instruction is very important to follow to prevent back teeth from supereruption (growing upward).
